our story

Where It All Began

Built in 1962. Trusted across aerospace, defense, and industry.

A Garage Startup

White Engineering Surfaces Corporation (WESCORP) was founded by Dave and Diane Nyland in a small garage in Levittown, Pennsylvania with a single piece of equipment. The company originally focused on providing specialized surface coatings for the textile industry, supporting spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and finishing operations. As demand grew, WESCORP expanded into a larger garage facility in Bristol, PA.

Growth into Aerospace & Defense

As the business continued to grow, WESCORP built its first dedicated manufacturing facility in Newtown, Pennsylvania. During this decade, the company began supporting the U.S. Department of Defense across multiple platforms, manufacturing and coating critical fighter jet engine components. WESCORP also pioneered the replacement of traditional chrome plating on aerospace wheel and brake components for leading OEMs, establishing WESCORP as the market leader in this space, a position still held today.

Commercial Expansion & Printing Industry Entry

Throughout the 1990s, WESCORP continued to grow across both commercial and defense aerospace. During this same period, the company maintained its presence in the textile industry while also expanding into the printing market. In the late ’90s, the development of a proprietary coating process for commercial and residential printer components worldwide fueled significant growth and led to the company’s move into its largest, and current, facility in Newtown, PA.

Third-Generation Leadership & Strategic Expansion

WESCORP transitioned into third-generation leadership as a woman-owned small business (WOSB), marking a new era of growth and modernization. Under this leadership, the company achieved critical industry certifications including AS9100, NADCAP, FAA Repair Station approval, and multiple OEM qualifications across the aerospace and power generation markets.
